SHFE 1703 Zinc Closes with Gains (2017-1-9)

Hongkong InterBank Offered Rate (Hibor) dived 47 percentage points to 14.05% on Monday after last week’s surge.

SHANGHAI, Jan. 9 (SMM) – Hongkong InterBank Offered Rate (Hibor) dived 47 percentage points to 14.05% on Monday after last week’s surge.

SHFE 1703 zinc edged up to RMB 21,580/mt after opening today and then rose further to RMB 21,750/mt. In the afternoon, SHFE 1703 zinc dipped to RMB 21,565/mt and closed at RMB 21,775/mt, up RMB 400/mt or 1.87%.

Trading volumes increased 48,796 lots to 640,000 lots, and positions increased 20,894 to 223,000. Trading volumes on SHFE zinc increased 39,678 lots to 750,000 lots, and positions increased 26,004 to 425,000. SHFE 1703 zinc will remain strong in the evening session.
