The average operating rate Chinese copper wire rod producers is expected to fall to 62.47% in January 2017, SMM predicts based on the latest survey.

SHANGHAI, Jan. 9 (SMM) - The average operating rate Chinese copper wire rod producers is expected to fall to 62.47% in January 2017, SMM predicts based on the latest survey.

Orders will decrease across large, medium and small plants, dragging down their operating rate.

Copper Price Pullback Drove Restocking, Secondary Copper Rod Trading Improved Somewhat

In January-February, the value added of industrial enterprises above the designated size increased 6.3% YoY in real terms (all value-added growth rates were real growth rates after deducting price factors). On a MoM basis, in February, the value added of industrial enterprises above the designated size rose 0.83% from the previous month.
