US Gold Scrap prices remain stable

United States scrap gold prices remained stable on Monday, while gold futures prices at New York Mercantile Exchange remained shut on Monday, December 26 for the Christmas holiday.

NEW YORK (Scrap Register): United States scrap gold prices remained stable on Monday, while gold futures prices at New York Mercantile Exchange remained shut on Monday, December 26 for the Christmas holiday.

The 9ct hallmarked gold scrap prices stayed flat at $411.401 an ounce and 14ct hallmarked gold scrap prices at $641.786 an ounce. The 18ct hallmarked gold scrap and 22ct hallmarked gold scrap prices also unchanged at $822.802 ounce and $1004.916 an ounce respectively. 

According to Scrap Register Price Index, the 9ct non-hallmarked gold scrap prices stayed flat at $389.135 an ounce and 14ct non-hallmarked gold scrap prices at $607.050 an ounce on Monday. The 18ct non-hallmarked gold scrap and 22ct non-hallmarked gold scrap prices unchanged at $778.269 an ounce and $950.526 an ounce respectively. 

Bullion sentiments slightly improved as the dollar retreated from this week's 14-year high and some buyers were tempted to take advantage of prices near a 10-month low after six weeks of decline.
