TOKYO (Scrap Register): Japanese crude steel production is expected to advance by 1.8 percent year-on-year to 26.32 million metric tons during the first quarter of next year, informed the country's Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry.
Steel products demand, including those for export, is expected to up by 1.5 percent during January to March of next year compared with a year earlier, Ministry added.
According to latest data released by the worldsteel, Japan has produced 8.6 million metric tons of crude steel in November 2016, a decrease of 1.4% compared to November 2015.
