The average operating rate at domestic copper tube/pipe producers is expected to stabilize at 76.76% in December, SMM predicts based on a survey.

SHANGHAI, Dec. 26 (SMM) - The average operating rate at domestic copper tube/pipe producers is expected to stabilize at 76.76% in December, SMM predicts based on a survey.

December is still a peak demand month for copper tube/pipe. Air conditioner producers left production high in December after stock replenishment by distributors.

Operating rates across major aluminium processors decreased 1.8 percentage points from a week ago to 70.7% last week. The main reason is that the power load in Henan is too high, prompting the province to impose staggered power use, affecting production at local aluminium plate, strip, foil and wire & cable producers.
