After two years construction, the world-class Aktogay copper ore beneficiation plant in Kazakhstan was put into production December 6, according to lmjx.net.

SHANGHAI, Dec. 8 (SMM) - After two years construction, the world-class Aktogay copper ore beneficiation plant in Kazakhstan was put into production December 6, according to lmjx.net.

The project was constructed by China No.15 Metallurgical Construction Group Co. The Aktogay copper mine in Kazakhstan, one of the largest copper mines in the world, has 25 million tpy copper ore processing capacity, with 1.719 billion tonnes of copper ore reserves grading 0.33%.

Total investment reached $1.9 billion, and service life is more than 50 years. Its annual cathode copper output is 72,000 tonnes. Average output will reach 104,000 tonnes in the first ten years of exploration.
