China Secondary Nonferrous Metals Output to Reach 12.70 Mln tonnes in 2016: 2016 China Cast Industry Summit

China’s secondary nonferrous metals production is expected to rise 2.8% year-on-year to 12.70 million tonnes in 2016, SMM reported at the 2016 China Cast Industry Summit.

SHANGHAI, Dec. 7 (SMM) - China’s secondary nonferrous metals production is expected to rise 2.8% year-on-year to 12.70 million tonnes in 2016, SMM reported at the 2016 China Cast Industry Summit.

China’s secondary nonferrous metals output was about 8.50 million tonnes in the first three quarters this year, said Li Shilong, Vice-Chairman of the (China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association Recycling Metal Branch (CMRA) said at the Summit.

Production of secondary copper, secondary aluminum, secondary lead and secondary zinc was 2 million tonnes, 4.20 million tonnes, 1.90 million tonnes, and 1.10 million tonnes, respectively.
