Chalco has reached a deal with Peru government expanding the Toromocho copper mine project in the country for $1.3 billion, wenhua.com reported.

SHANGHAI, Dec. 5 (SMM) - Chalco has reached a deal with Peru government expanding the Toromocho copper mine project in the country for $1.3 billion, wenhua.com reported.

The project is China’s largest copper mine project overseas.

The Toromocho copper mine was put into operation in 2013, and produced 31,407 tonnes of copper and 5,500 tonnes of lead in Q1 2016.
