SHFE Announces Ceiling for Positions Opened on Zinc, Lead for Non-Futures Investors

The Shanghai Futures Exchange (SHFE) decides ceiling for positions opened on zinc and lead contracts by non-futures companies or customers, according to its website.

SHANGHAI, Nov. 30 (SMM) - The Shanghai Futures Exchange (SHFE) decides ceiling for positions opened on zinc and lead contracts by non-futures companies or customers, according to its website.

Daily positions opened on SHFE 1701 and SHFE 1702 zinc contracts by non-futures companies and customers shall be no more than 1,500 apiece. Those on SHFE 1701 and SHFE 1702 lead contracts shall be no more than 1,000 apiece.

Such regulation will be effective starting the night session of November 30.

The ceiling refers to the total of long and short positions. Positions opened for hedge operation will not be subject to this limit.
