Congo Copper Output Slides 10% in First 3 Quarters

Democratic Republic of Congo's central bank said November 28 the country’s copper production slid nearly 10% year-on-year in the first three quarters of 2016, according to ccmn.cn.

SHANGHAI, Nov. 29 (SMM) - Democratic Republic of Congo's central bank said November 28 the country’s copper production slid nearly 10% year-on-year in the first three quarters of 2016, according to ccmn.cn.

Total copper production in the first 3 quarters fell to 734,643 tonnes, as some mines suspended production against low prices.

The country’s copper output was 268,393 tonnes in Q3 2016, a rise of 0.6% year-on-year.
