Nickel Ore Inventories Fall 370,000 Wmt at Seven Major Chinese Ports

Nickel ore inventories at seven major Chinese ports were 10.45 million wmt over this past week, down 370,000 wmt on a weekly basis, according to SMM data.

SHANGHAI, Nov. 18 (SMM) – Nickel ore inventories at seven major Chinese ports were 10.45 million wmt over this past week, down 370,000 wmt on a weekly basis, according to SMM data.

Over this past week, arrivals of ore to the Port of Lianyungang were 70,000 wmt, and new arrivals at the port are also expected at 70,000 wmt.  

Based on inventories at the seven major ports, SMM estimates China’s total nickel ore port inventories at around 13.93 million wmt, or 113,600 mt in Ni content.
