Base Metals to Diverge, SMM Says

Base metal prices on the SHFE are expected to diverge on Tuesday, Shanghai Metals Market foresees. 

SHANGHAI, Nov. 15 (SMM) – Base metal prices on the SHFE are expected to diverge on Tuesday, Shanghai Metals Market foresees. 

“The dollar surged overnight, briefly climbing above 100, and its strength exerted little impact on base metals, whose slight corrections are due mainly to excessive gains in previous days, and on Tuesday, base metals are expected to diverge,” SMM says. 

Copper: 43,850-45,250 yuan per tonne
Aluminum: 14,100-14,400 yuan per tonne
Lead: 17,800-17,950 yuan per tonne
Zinc: 20,900-21,450 yuan per tonne
Tin: 144,000-147,000 yuan per tonne
Nickel: 89,500-92,800 yuan per tonne

Note: Prices all above are for most-actively traded contract on the SHFE.
