SHFE 1701 Zinc Closes Higher (2016-11-14)

SHFE 1701 zinc rose to RMB 21,010/mt immediately after opening, hovering in a RMB 130/mt range.

SHANGHAI, Nov. 14 (SMM) – SHFE 1701 zinc rose to RMB 21,010/mt immediately after opening, hovering in a RMB 130/mt range. In the afternoon, SHFE 1701 zinc fell to RMB 20,610/mt initially and then rebounded to RMB 21,795/mt as shorts reduced positions, and closed at RMB 21,275/mt, up RMB 555/mt or 2.68%. Trading volumes increased 560,000 to 1.17 million lots, and positions decreased 15,064 to 249,000. SHFE 1701 zinc is expected to rise further in the evening.
