SHANGHAI, Nov. 8 (SMM) - BHP Billiton said November 8 power outage led to a loss of three-week output at its Olympic Dam copper mine, according to wenhua.com.

Consequently, BHP’s 200,000 tonnes output target in 2017 fiscal year requires reconsideration.

The company incurred $260 loss each day during suspension based on $4,800 per tonne copper prices at present.
