SHFE 1701 Zinc Closes Higher (2016-11-1)

Base metals mostly increased thanks to China’s official and Caixin manufacturing PMI.

SHANGHAI, Nov. 1 (SMM) –Base metals mostly increased thanks to China’s official and Caixin manufacturing PMI.

SHFE 1701 zinc opened at RMB 19,385/mt today, and surged to a 5-year high of RMB 20,005/mt. SHFE 1612 zinc rolled back some gains and closed at RMB 19,755/mt, up RMB 540/mt or 2.81%. Trading volumes increased 311,000 to 528,000 lots, and positions increased 24,000 to 254,000.
