North American copper scrap prices edged higher 28th Oct, 2016

The North American copper scrap prices edged higher slightly on October 28th, Friday.

TORONTO (Scrap Monster): The North American copper scrap prices climbed higher marginally on ScrapMonster Price Index  as on October 28th, Friday.

The price of Alternator scrap remained unchanged over the previous day. The price of #1 Copper Wire and Tubing rose by $0.02 per Lb. #2 Copper Wire and Tubing prices were also up by $0.02 per Lb. The price of #1 Copper Bare Bright went higher by $ 0.02 per Lb.

The prices of #1 Insulated Copper Wire 85% Recovery were up marginally by $0.01 per Lb. #2 Insulated Copper Wire 50% Recovery prices too edged higher by $0.01 per Lb over the day. #3 Copper-Light copper prices went higher by $0.02 per Lb to reach $1.75 per Lb.

The prices of Copper Radiator scrap witnessed marginal rise of $0.01 per Lb from previous day’s levels. Copper Transformer Scrap prices remained unchanged. CuYokes and Cu/Al Radiator Ends prices too reported no change from the previous day.

Meanwhile, the prices of Cu/Al Radiators increased by $0.01 per Lb over the previous day.

Cu/Al Radiators/Fe prices too were up by $0.01 per Lb on October 28th, 2016.

Harness Wire 35% Recovery, Heater cores and Romex Wire prices witnessed went higher by $0.01 per Lb.

The prices of Scrap Electric Motors, Starters, Sealed units and Xmas Lights maintained previous day price levels.

[SMM Daily Review of Aluminum Alloy] Futures: The aluminum alloy 2604 contract opened at 22,750 yuan/mt today. After a brief dip in early trading, it then fluctuated upward. It attempted to move higher multiple times during the session but failed to break the intraday high, gradually weakened in the afternoon, and accelerated its pullback late in the session. It finally closed at 22,585 yuan/mt, down 165 yuan/mt from the previous settlement price, a decline of 0.73%. Spot: The ADC12 market as a whole continued to hold prices steady today.
