Xiangguang Copper: China Copper Smelters to See Overcapacity in 3-5 Years

China’s copper smelting industry will see overcapacity in 3-5 years, said Shandong Xiangguang Copper Co.’s Vice President Zhou Songlin.

SHANGHAI, Oct. 19 (SMM) - China’s copper smelting industry will see overcapacity in 3-5 years, Shandong Xiangguang Copper Co.’s Vice President Zhou Songlin told SMM.

Copper smelters are suggested to lower cost and improve technology and recycling, he said. Meanwhile, international cooperation will also help them find a way out.
