Inner Mongolia’s Chifeng becomes China Major Nonferrous Metals Smelting Base

Chifeng, Inner Mongolia has 133 large smelters which materialized 49.68 billion yuan in sales revenue, according to Chifeng government.

SHANGHAI, Oct. 14 (SMM) - Chifeng, Inner Mongolia has 133 large smelters which materialized 49.68 billion yuan in sales revenue, according to Chifeng government.

Daily mining and beneficiation capacity for nonferrous metals totals 130,000 tonnes, with annual smelting capacity of 790,000 tonnes.

Lead and zinc mining and beneficiation capacity is now 50,000 tonnes per day. Annual zinc smelting capacity is 210,000 tonnes, with 180,000 tonnes per year for lead smelting.
