China Nickel Ore Inventories Fall after Holiday, SMM Reports

Nickel ore inventories at seven major Chinese ports fell sharply after China’s National Day holiday from Oct. 1-7, Shanghai Metals Market reported.

SHANGHAI, Oct. 14 (SMM) – Nickel ore inventories at seven major Chinese ports fell sharply after China’s National Day holiday from Oct. 1-7, Shanghai Metals Market reported.

According to SMM data, nickel ore inventories were down 500,000 tonnes from the level in the week ending Sep. 30.

Over this past week, the Port of Lianyungang and Lanshan saw large arrivals of new shipments, SMM survey finds.
