SHANGHAI, Sep. 28 (SMM) - Societe Generale gave its forecast September 27 on major nonferrous metals prices for 2016 and 2017, according to wenhua.com.
It sees copper prices average $4,600 per tonne this year and $4,500 per tonne in 2017.
Spot aluminum prices are expected to be $1,570 per tonne this year, compared to $1,535 per tonne in its previous forecast. It raised forecast of average aluminum price to $1,625 per tonne in 2017.
It predicts the average zinc price will be $2,100 per tonne in 2016.
The bank hiked forecast of the average lead price to $1,865 per tonne in 2016, and $2,200 per tonne in 2017.
It sees the average nickel price at $9,500 per tonne in 2016, and $11,500 per tonne in 2017.
The average tin price is expected to be $17,600 per tonne in 2016, and $21,000 per tonne in 2017.
