SHANGHAI, Sep. 22 (SMM) – Foreign media recently reported that China exported large amounts of aluminum semis via Mexico to the US so as to evade US duties.
However, the China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association (CNIA) said in a statement that the opinions are a distortion of facts.
The CNIA added that the reports are aimed at moulding public opinion before the US International Trade Commission's hearing in Washington on September 29.
The reports are absolutely groundless, Zhang Jianping, Director at the Department of International Economic Cooperation at the Institute for International Economic Research of NDRC, said.
