SHANGHAI, Sep. 20 (SMM) - China’s copper and lead output grew year-on-year in August, while output of zinc and aluminum slipped, according to the National Bureau of Statistics.
Refined copper output jumped 12.4% year-on-year to 743,000 tonnes in August, while lead output increased 4.8% year-on-year to 351,000 tonnes. Zinc output fell 2.8% year-on-year to 517,000 tonnes, with aluminum output down 0.8% to 2,713,000 tonnes.
