SHANGHAI, Sep. 20 (SMM) - Jiangxi Copper Corporation’s high-end copper foil products have fallen short of demand this year.

The company’s 12μm copper foil, produced at its production base in Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province has been very popular with customers, according to cnmn.com.

Prices of the ultra-thin copper foil are 8,000 yuan per tonne higher than regular products. The foil producing base has already operated near capacity recently.

Jiangxi Copper invested 538 million yuan in its second phase of copper foil and copper tube/pipe projects.

The firm has focused on technology innovation and quality improvement. The company’s copper foil cost decreased over 4,000 yuan per tonne over the past few years, which contributed 50 million yuan of benefit each year.
