






SHANGHAI, Sep. 20 (SMM) – China’s rare earth exports grew both on yearly and monthly basis in August, but the average export price fell sharply.
Customs data showed outbound shipments were 4,170 tonnes in August, up 47.5% from a year ago and up 5.7% from July. The average export price fell 42.0% year-on-year and 14.0% month-on-month to $6.6/kg.
Rare Earth Prices to Get Boost from State Stockpiling
Exports totaled 31,329 tonnes during the first eight months of this year, up 53.8% from a year ago, with the average export price down 39.0% to $7.3/kg.
