Kazakhstan Zinc, Copper Output Rises Jan.-Aug.

Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Statistics said the country’s refined zinc and copper output both increased during the first eight months of the year, according to wenhua.com.

SHANGHAI, Sep. 18 (SMM) - Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Statistics said the country’s refined zinc and copper output both increased during the first eight months of the year, according to wenhua.com.

Kazakhstan’s refined zinc production grew 1.0% year-on-year during January-August, and refined copper output added 4.2% year-on-year.

Crude steel production jumped 11% year-on-year in the same period.

KAZ Minerals, a London-listed company and Glencore’s Kazzinc contributed almost the majority of the country’s metal production.
