Hubei Province overfulfilled outdated aluminum capacity elimination target set by the Chinese government during the 12th Five-Year Plan period (2011-2015), local media reported.

SHANGHAI, Sep. 13 (SMM) – Hubei Province overfulfilled outdated aluminum capacity elimination target set by the Chinese government during the 12th Five-Year Plan period (2011-2015), local media reported.

The province weeded out 127,000 tonnes of outdated aluminum capacity during 2011-2015, beating the 100,000 tonne target set by the central government.

At present, there are only 118,000 tonnes aluminum capacity in the province, down 74% from 2010.
