SHANGHAI, Aug. 13 (SMM) - Sichuan founded one large copper mine area recently, with 640,000 tonnes of copper reserves, local paper reported.

The discovery has been passed by the Ministry of Land & Resources.

Sichuan Bureau of Geology & Mineral Resources was looking for copper resources since the Lala copper mine is nearly exhausted.

The Lala mine, located in Huili County, Sichuan Province, is the largest open-pit mine in Southwest China.
