China Finished Steel Output Drops in August, NBS Reports

China’s finished steel output dropped 0.9 percentage point in August on a yearly basis, the first decline in three months, according to National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).

SHANGHAI, Sep. 13 (SMM) – China’s finished steel output dropped 0.9 percentage point in August on a yearly basis, the first decline in three months, according to National Bureau of Statistics (NBS). 

China produced 97.91 million tonnes in August, up 4 per cent from July’s level, according to NBS, with Jan.-Aug. output totaling 755 million tonnes, up 2.2 per cent year-on-year.
