About 5% copper rod producers expect their orders to increase in September, citing the September peak demand month, according to SMM’s latest survey.

SHANGHAI, Sep. 8 (SMM) - About 5% copper rod producers expect their orders to increase in September, citing the September peak demand month, according to SMM’s latest survey.

They also expect low copper prices to incentivize downstream buying interest.

Some 16% see orders falling as operating rates will fall during the 7-day Chinese National Day holiday.

But 79% see orders stabilize.
