






SHANGHAI, Sep. 2 (SMM) - National Development & Reform Commission (NDRC) said on its website domestic output of 10 nonferrous metals rose 0.5% year-on-year in the first seven months of the year, ce.cn reports.
Copper output in this period grew 7.9% year-on-year to 4.75 million tonnes, while aluminum output was down 1.9% year-on-year to 17.98 million tonnes, compared to a 12% growth in the same period of last year. Lead production rose 7.1% year-on-year to 2.48 million tonnes, compared to a 2.4% decline in the same period of last year. And zinc output fell 0.7% year-on-year to 3.53 million tonnes, versus an increase of 10.4% in the same period of last year.
Total output of the 10 nonferrous metals rose 0.7% year-on-year in July, with the growth down 8.6 percentage points.
