Bauxite exports from Guinea are growing rapidly, driven by Chinese project in the country, SMM says.

SHANGHAI, Aug. 30 (SMM) – Bauxite exports from Guinea are growing rapidly, driven by Chinese project in the country, SMM says.

China Winning Group’s bauxite project in Guinea has exported some 8 million tonnes of bauxite since it entered operations in July 2015. The company plans to export 15 million tonnes of bauxite this year.

Chalco Raises Aluminum Prices in Major Markets on August 30 for Three Consecutive Days

China imported nearly 5.45 million tonnes of bauxite from Guinea during January-July this year.
