Spot Iron Ore markets continue to show down trend

Spot iron ore markets continued trending down on Friday, said The Steel Index.

LONDON (Scrap Register): Spot iron ore markets continued trending down on Friday, said The Steel Index.

An Australian miner held a tender for 61% Fe PB Fines which concluded about 1 dollar lower than yesterday’s tender price. 

A Brazilian miner sold 62.3% Fe SSFG fines at floating price through COREX later this afternoon. 63.5% Fe same product also traded on globalORE. 

In China, ports stock prices were unchanged, with limited activity. Spot rebar prices in Beijing and spot billet prices in Tangshan were stable. 

The most active DCE iron ore contract price went down 2.49%, while SHFE rebar fell 2.38%. All prices US$/dmt CFR China unless otherwise stated.
