Divergence to Stay in Base Metals Market, SMM Says

Base metal prices on the SHFE are expected to continue diverging on Wednesday, Shanghai Metals Market foresees.

SHANGHAI, Aug. 17 (SMM) – Base metal prices on the SHFE are expected to continue diverging on Wednesday, Shanghai Metals Market foresees. 

“Today will see a light data calendar day, and Shanghai market will continue trading in a wide range, with divergence to expand,” SMM says. 

Key Macroeconomic Indicators for Base Metal Prices (2016-8-17) 

Copper: 37,250-37,700 yuan per tonne

Aluminum: 12,380-12,550 yuan per tonne

Lead: 13,450-13,650 yuan per tonne

Zinc: 17,250-17,400 yuan per tonne

Tin: 122,500-124,000 yuan per tonne

Nickel: 80,500-82,000 yuan per tonne
