LME Lead to Hover around $ 1,820 Next Week, SMM Predicts

LME lead may fluctuate around $ 1,820 per tonne next week with resistance at the 20-day moving average.

SHANGHAI, Aug. 12 (SMM) – LME lead may fluctuate around $ 1,820 per tonne next week with resistance at the 20-day moving average.

On the SHFE market, the September-delivery lead should challenge 14,000 yuan per tonne, supported by firm spot prices due to supply tightness.

Spot lead in China is expected to hold firm at 13,800-14,000 yuan per tonne. Supply will continue tightening because of environmental factor and tight concentrate supply. On the demand side, battery makers will grow operating rates further in peak season.
