Zambia Copper Output Rises 8% in H1

Zambia’s copper output grew 8% to 368,371 tonnes in the first half of the year, up from the 340,510 tonnes in the same period of last year, wenhua.com reports.

SHANGHAI, Aug. 11 (SMM) - Zambia’s copper output grew 8% to 368,371 tonnes in the first half of the year, up from the 340,510 tonnes in the same period of last year, wenhua.com reports.

The country’s Ministry of Mines & Minerals Development said in a statement domestic copper output is expected to rise 5.4% from last year’s 711,515 tonnes, to 750,000 tonnes this year.
