BRASILIA (Scrap Register): In July ferrous scrap exports of Brazil decreased 66 percent and totaled 15787 mt, compared to 44207 mt shipped in a year ago and 63 percent lower than 41361mt exported in June, according to Ministry of Development and Foreign Trade.
Most of the exports went to Asia at an average FPB price of $242/mt, the same price of the year ago, up 10 percent from $217/mt FOB in June.
Ferrous scrap exports through the port of Santos in Sao Paulo state in June totaled 4,301 mt, followed by Manaus port at 4,296 mt.
