One Low-grade NPI producer in Linyi, Shandong Province has stopped production since earlier August, Shanghai Metals Market reports.

SHANGHAI, Aug.9 (SMM) – One Low-grade NPI producer in Linyi, Shandong Province has stopped production since earlier August, Shanghai Metals Market reports.

Linyi Yuguang Steel originally planned to stop production in late July for environmental factor, and postponed the suspension to earlier August.

Another local producer, Linyi Shanwei Casting and Smelting, will likely halt production from mid August.

The two producers, with monthly production capacity of around 70,000 tonnes in total, produced 53,000 tonnes of low-grade NPI in July, according to SMM data.
