China Refined Lead Imports Fall in June

China imported 9 mt of refined lead in June, down 30.77% MoM, according to Customs data.

SHANGHAI, Aug. 8 (SMM) – China imported 9 mt of refined lead in June, down 30.77% MoM, according to Customs data.

YTD imports through June was 134 mt, up 39.61% YoY. China also imported 949 mt of lead alloy, down 17.53% YoY, 14 mt of lead plates and 134 mt of other lead products.

Refined lead exports in China slid 72.68% MoM to 626 mt in June and YTD exports through June slipped 43.62% YoY to 14,930 mt. Refined lead exports mainly targeted Indonesia, Japan and Cuba with exports to Indonesia up to 83.07%. Lead alloy exports were 33 mt in June and dropped 4.94% YoY during January-June. Lead plate and other lead semis exports were 761 mt and 132 mt respectively.
