SHANGHAI, Aug. 8 (SMM) –According to China Customs, China exported 380,000 mt of unwrought aluminum and aluminum semis in June, down 40,000 mt MoM and 15.6% YoY. YTD exports through June totaled 2.28 million mt, down 8.8% YoY.

In June, exports of aluminum extrusions plunged 38.1% YoY, those of aluminum plate/sheet and strip dropped 7.5% YoY, and those of aluminum foil increased 15.3% YoY. In the first half of the year, exports of aluminum extrusions jumped 13.2% YoY, those of aluminum plate/sheet and strip fell 24.0% YoY, and those of aluminum foil rose 14.2% YoY. Aluminum extrusion exports showed signs of falling in June, while aluminum foil exports remained strong.
