MUMBAI(Scrap Register): The total sales of Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) including exports increased 15 percent in July 2016 year on year. The company's domestic sale increased exceede 1 million tons of saleable steel, an increase of 8.5 percent in July 2016 compared to July 2015, despite the onset of a monsoon induced lean season.
SAIL quoted that across all product categories, long products emerged as best performer with a 17 per cent growth, while special steels at 4 per cent growth in sales compared to July 2015.
SAIL's production in July 2016 increased 13 percent to 1.16 million tons of saleable steel as compared to July 2015 . SAIL is exploring new markets, both domestic and overseas.
