Vedanta Resources’ refined zinc production was 101,000 tonnes during April-June, a drop of 46% year-on-year, and down 34.4% on a quarterly basis, SMM understands.

SHANGHAI, Aug. 4 (SMM) - Vedanta Resources’ refined zinc production was 101,000 tonnes during April-June, a drop of 46% year-on-year, and down 34.4% on a quarterly basis, SMM understands.

Teck Zinc Production Falls in H1 with Concentrate Output Expected to Rise in 2016

Its zinc concentrate output was 127,000 tonnes during the same period, down 32.4% on a quarterly basis and 45% year-on-year.

The company, one of the world's largest diversified natural resources companies with interests in zinc, lead, silver, copper, iron ore and aluminum, closed its Lisheen mine with capacity of 100,000 tonne per year last year.
