Yunnan Chihong Zn & Ge Co.’s 140,000 tonne per year zinc smelting project in Inner Mongolia’s Hulun Buir expects to yield 4,000-6,000 tonnes of zinc ingot in August, SMM reports.

SHANGHAI, Aug. 2 (SMM) - Yunnan Chihong Zn & Ge Co.’s 140,000 tonne per year zinc smelting project in Inner Mongolia’s Hulun Buir expects to yield 4,000-6,000 tonnes of zinc ingot in August, SMM reports.

Output from the trial production started in July will be mainly #1 zinc, with capacity of 100,000 tonne per year. Production will be adjusted to #0 zinc in the near term.

The company also has 60,000 tonne per year lead smelting capacity, but did not commence trial production for it in July.
