China Lead Concentrate Imports Hit Best for 2016 in June

The lead concentrate imports in China recorded a new high for the year in June, China Customs reported.

SHANGHAI, Jul. 29 (SMM) – The lead concentrate imports in China recorded a new high for the year in June, China Customs reported.

China Lead Prices to Maintain Upward Momentum by Late August on Tight Supply, SMM Says

China imported 144,000 tonnes of lead concentrate in June, up 38.93% YoY and 38.09% MoM. YTD imports through June were 671,700 tonnes, falling 12.17% YoY.

The sharp rise in imports was due largely to tight supply of domestic concentrate and growing demand from Jiangxi Copper and Chifeng Shanjin Silver & Lead.
