SHANGHAI, Jul. 29 (SMM) – The production of ten types of nonferrous metals in China totaled 25.12 million tonnes in the first half of the year, up 0.1% YoY with growth slowing 9.2 percentage points from H1 last year, based on www.sdpc.gov.cn.

Of the production, copper output was 4.03 million tonnes, up 7.6%; primary aluminum output was 15.32 million tonnes, falling 1.9% and compared with a rise of 11.7% in the same period last year; lead output grew 2.8% to 1.97 million tonnes, versus a fall of 3.5% in H1 last year;
Besides, zinc production came in at 3.03 million tonnes, down 0.9%, compared with an increase of 12.8% in the same period last year. Alumina production totaled 28.63 million tonnes, dropping 1.6%, versus a growth of 13.1% in H1 last year.
