SHANGHAI, Jul. 28 (SMM) – Southern Copper’s net profit dropped 24.7% YoY to $ 222 million in the second quarter of 2016 as weak copper prices bit, according to news.f139.com.

MMG Refined Copper Output Falls in H1 despite Sharp Rise in Copper Concentrate Output

The company posted 26.1% rise in copper production in Q2, contributed mainly by Buenavista mine in Mexico. Copper output at the company was 447,503 tonnes in H1 and should hit 913,500 tonnes in 2016.
