North American copper scrap prices drop slightly 27th July, 2016

The North American copper scrap prices declined marginally on Wednesday, July 27th.

MONTREAL (Scrap Monster): The North American copper scrap prices edged marginally lower onScrapMonster Price Index  as on July 27th, Wednesday.

The price of Alternator scrap remained unchanged over the previous day. The price of #1 Copper Wire and Tubing declined by $0.02 per Lb. #2 Copper Wire and Tubing prices were also down by $0.02 per Lb. The price of #1 Copper Bare Bright too went lower by $ 0.02 per Lb.

The prices of #1 Insulated Copper Wire 85% Recovery witnessed downfall of $0.02 per Lb over the previous day. #2 Insulated Copper Wire 50% Recovery prices too declined by $0.01 per Lb. #3 Copper-Light copper prices dropped by $0.02 per Lb to reach $1.78 per Lb.

The prices of Copper Radiator scrap dropped by $0.01 per Lb from previous day’s levels. Copper Transformer Scrap prices remained unchanged. CuYokes prices too witnessed no change from the previous day. Cu/Al Radiator Ends witnessed no change over the previous day. Meanwhile, the prices of Cu/Al Radiators and Cu/Al Radiators/Fe dropped by $0.01 per Lb each on July 27th, 2016.

Harness Wire 35% Recovery and Heater cores prices were down by $0.01 per Lb each.

The price of Romex Wire dropped by $0.02 per Lb when matched with the previous day.

The prices of Scrap Electric Motors, Sealed units, Starters and Xmas Lights maintained the previous day price levels.

[Developments in the Outside-China Lead Market] According to Notice No. 26,094-96 issued by the LME, the suspension of trading in the UMICORE 99.99, 99.985, and 99.97 lead brands produced by Umicore has been lifted, and these brands will continue to be used for warrant transactions on the London Metal Exchange (LME).
