LME Copper to Move in a Tight Range (2016-7-21)

LME copper will narrowly range USD 4,920-4,970/mt during Asian trading hours Thursday.

SHANGHAI, Jul. 21 (SMM) – LME copper will narrowly range USD 4,920-4,970/mt during Asian trading hours Thursday.

Copper prices followed crude oil prices up and both longs and shorts keep cautious at present.

SHFE 1609 copper will fluctuate between RMB 37,900-38,550/mt on Jul. 21. Spot copper in China will be offered at discounts of RMB 30/mt and premiums of RMB 20/mt against SHFE 1608 copper.

LME copper started at USD 5,158/mt overnight and moved higher to USD 5,240/mt thanks to Chinese stock rally.
