SHANGHAI, Jul. 20 (SMM) – Yunnan Chihong Ze & Ge Co. will gradually commission its 200,000-tpy lead and zinc capacity following a trial run, SMM learns.
The commission will expand the company’s lead and zinc capacity to 600,000 tonnes per year, including 100,000-tpy secondary lead capacity and 500,000-tpy primary lead and zinc capacity.
The company produced 400,000 tonnes (metal content) of lead and zinc in 2015 from its captive mines. And the company’s captive ore output is expected to grow to 500,000 tonnes per year in 2018, which will be in line with the company’s 500,000-tpy primary lead and zinc capacity.
The company is scheduled to produce 330,000 tonnes of germanium in 2016 and 350,000 tonnes in 2017, SMM adds.
