45% China Copper Tube/Pipe Plants See Orders Fall in July, SMM Surveys

SHANGHAI, Jul. 18 (SMM) - About 45% of Chinese copper tube/pipe producers expect orders to fall in July, according to the latest SMM survey of 20 domestic copper tube/pipe producers.

They base their opinion on the onset of low-demand season, high air conditioner stocks and cash tightness. Meanwhile, China’s economy faces downward pressure, and industrial profit is still thin.

Some 55% see orders stabilize in July.
