69% China Copper Wire Rod Producers See Orders to Stabilize in July, SMM Says

Approximately 69% of 19 Chinese copper wire rod producers surveyed by SMM expect orders to stabilize in July, SMM predicts.

SHANGHAI, Jul. 12 (SMM) – Approximately 69% of 19 Chinese copper wire rod producers surveyed by SMM expect orders to stabilize in July, SMM predicts.

The producers cite that orders in July will be mainly supported by term purchase and planned production.

26% market players predict that orders will decline in July. Orders started dropping since late June and State Grid’s and Southern Power Grid’s investment in low-voltage power grid is falling. Enameled wire orders also slip from auto and home appliance sectors.

The remaining 5% respondents believe that orders will grow in July.
